چکیده

Aims . To evaluate the long-term efficacy of antiarrhythmic therapy in patients with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). Methods CPVT was diagnosed 11 between ages 3-12 years a minimum follow-up 10 years. The data analyzed obtained from existing medical records that included symptoms, family screenings, treadmill tests, electrocardiography, echocardiography, implanted cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), and treatments. Results Cardiac events were registered 75% on beta-blocker therapy. Supraventricular arrhythmias such as atrial atrioventicular nodal tachycardia, fibrillation flutter detected using various ECG diagnostic methods all patients, which is significantly higher than reported similar studies. A combination anti-arrhythmic treatment reduced number cardiac by 50% compared to only treatment. Conclusion Multiple supraventricular have high prevalence can trigger arrhythmia. Combined effective because it prevents CPVT. improves prognosis may help avoid or postpone ICD implantation.

Clinical experiences of patients with catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia is a rare entity that can occur in children without cardiac disease and with a normal QT interval. It may cause syncope, convulsions, and sudden death during physical activity or emotional distress. We report the clinical features, treatment, and follow-up of 16 children with this diagnosis, emphasizing the potentially fatal nature of the di...

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is a rare genetic disease with an incidence of approximately 1:10,000 in European population and a very high mortality rate if left untreated, reaching 31% by the age of 30 years [1]. It is characterized by bidirectional or polymorphic ventricular tachycardias (VT) induced by an adrenergic triggering factor, such as emotional stress o...

Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia.

Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia is a rare cause of exercise-induced arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death in the pediatric patient. This arrhythmia is difficult to diagnose in the emergency department, given the range of presentations; thus, a familiarity with and high index of suspicion for this pathology are crucial. Furthermore, recognition of the characteristic electroca...
